A recap of last weekend’s hottest looks. Who sizzled and who burned? Let’s get into it.

Tika Sumpter was one of my favourite sightings over the weekend. She displayed caramel chocolate skin in a cream strapless dress paired with nude pumps at the ESPN Party. Her curly mane is to die for!

Tika later sashayed into the DirecTV Super Saturday Night looking even hotter in a white bralet top and a white cut out design see through Burberry skirt. She added a red lip to her white ensemble. Smoking!

Also at the DirecTV event was supermodel Chanel Iman who looked every bit a model in a purple bodice dress and similar colour lipstick. This colour was made for her. Chic!

I need this lipstick in my life.

Chanel was spotted at the Super Bowl XLVIII Party Hosted By Shape And Men’s Fitness before that in a white ribbed bodycon dress and nude pumps. That smoky eye? haute!

Ashanti is sporting a new blonde sideswept look. She styled it with a pair of washed denims, a white cropped tank under a tan fur snakeskin trimmed jacket at the DirecTV Super Saturday night. i think there’s a lot going on here and this look doesn’t work for Ashanti unfortunately. The blonde hair will have to grow on me but at the moment it washes her out.

She looked way better though at the ESPN party in all black leather.

Rihanna was spotted out and about looking girly in £465 Stella McCartney Warwick high-rise jacquard shorts and a matching blazer jacket. Those sandals are not for me but I love the shorts and jacket. #Serve!

LaLa Anthony, who has been busy promoting her new book, was spotted at Madison Square where she went to catch a Knicks game. She sizzled in a white jumper, distressed white denims, Louboutin pigalle spikes and hair to die for. #Slaythem!

Serena Williams looked pretty in a blue mesh insert bodycon dress at the Beats By Dr. Dre & GRAFF Diamonds special event. Her hair could have been tamer but her face is so pretty her!

Estelle also attended the event in a Virgos Lounge mirrored dress. Nice!

The fashionable DJ Kiss looked cute in a black slit skirt and white top.

Alexander Burke posed at the KWL’s 4th Annual Sports And Entertainment Celebration in a hot sparkly number and Christian Louboutin metallic pumps. Nailed it.

Alesha Dixon brought some colour to Birmingham for the Britains Got Talent Birmingham Auditions. She dressed up an orange Carven ribbed Dolman sleeved jumper with a £356 persimmon Carven belted satin A-line skirt. I like this.

Chrissy Teigen looked beautiful in a nude flesh tone dress at the Sports Illustrated & Jaguar Super Saturday VIP Event.

She wore a black drape frock the the Super Bowl party.

Stacy Keibler was the lady in red in  ared jumpsuit and lips to match. Loved her look!

Fantasia looked pretty in a peachy coral dress paired with Louboutin Pigalle spike heels in white at the Sports Illustrated & Jaguar Super Saturday VIP Event at The Diageo Liquid Cellar.

Adrienne Bailon went on trend with a peach beige coat and ripped jeans paired with nude Louboutins. Simple and casual chic at its best.

She was also pictured with close bud, RaVaughn.

Layla Kayleigh sizzled in a sequin embellished mesh insert body hugging dress at the Talent Resources Sports presents MAXIM “BIG GAME WEEKEND” in New York City.

It was all about aztec prints for Lil Mama at the party.

Model Jordan Keali finished off a skater white dress with bright orange pumps. Cute.

The 2014 amfAR New York Galawent down last night. There were a lot of bridal inspired looks and dresses on the red carpet and many beat faces. Let’s see who was there to slay.

Selita Ebanks looked like a goddess in a Gabriela Cadena white dress which was one of my favourites of the evening. Her face was FLAWLESS.

Kelly Rowland looked sweet in a printed Juan Carlos Obando dress. Love her hair and makeup here.

Maryna Linchuk’s dress is my dream summer vacay come true. I love everything about it. The colour is to die for.

Chanel Iman and boyfriend A$AP ROCKY were all loved up and looked Valentine ready as they posed on the carpet. She’s always ALWAYS chic in whatever she wears. This simple slip white Calvin Klein dress looks like a million bucks on her.

Lily Aldridge was an angel. Her Rosie Assoulin dress was both futuristic and soft. another strong favourite of mine.

Hannah Bronfman looked pretty in yet another white look that evening.

Crystal Renn and her expertly drawn catseye liner gave fierce face on the red carpet. WANT her necklace.

I would this dress that Chelsea Leland wore for the event in a heartbeat! So up my alley.

Shanina Shaik wore another white lace detail dress that I would to have in my closet.

Model Kiara Kabukuru opted for all black with bold red lips. Gorgeous face but her outfit is lost on me.

Karolina Kurkova slayed in a black sexy number. And thats why she’s a model. Hot!

I love to dazzle in a red hot number so when I spied the Go RED for Women show this morning, I was so excited to see all the red dresses that graced the carpet for the event.

Kat Graham layered a leatherette red crop top and matching skirt on a red long sleeve cotton wool jumper. Thumbs up for brilliant layering.

The Oscars start at 23h30 on Sky Living. While I count down the seconds, I just couldn’t resist doing a post on Lupita Nyongo’o in Michael Kors at the Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party. She looked extremely radiant in this Michael Kors cut out dress and matching blazer which she made pop with an enviable boutonnière. But then again when has she not looked radiant! 

She finished her look with the most perfect makeup and blue Pedro Garcia Rosette satin pumps. What is your take on this? I think she looks perfect; especially in the face

Lupita has been showing off her proud mama on the red carpet lately. How sweet. I wonder if she’ll be her plus one tonight?

Kim Kardashian is a brunette again! Yes, Kim grew wary of the blonde locks and revealed her original dark-haired self again at the 22nd Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party. It was such a refreshing sight to behold. Kim missed all the Oscars Red Carpet action but leave it to her to steal the limelight at the after party is a stunning red dress. I literally oogled when I saw the pics from the event. YASSSS Kim! She looked voluptuous and wowed in a Celia Kritharioti red gown and blessed us with her abounding buxom.

Hot red lips and wavy dark hair were on tow to complete the look.

Even though the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion took a turn for the worse when Porsha Williams physically attacked Kenya Moore and got fired from the show; they ladies all looked drop dead gorgeous on air.

Porsha Williams looked flawless in a Ralph & Russo Couture gown. Kenya Moore opted for a £4,000 J.Mendel Red Strapless gown.

White is undeniably this season’s hottest colour. To whit, Rihanna looked chic while doing her shopping rounds around Los Angeles. Distressed denim short shorts paired with nudist sandals and a shirt were on call for the Bad gal.

Like most people this Spring, Brandy has been sporting some natural-inspired curls. She went for a Fendi ensemble to complement her fun natural look. Pretty! Love the shoes too.

Nicki Minaj is falling in love with her natural looks! She looked beautiful at the after party of her the new movie ‘The Other Woman’ which she stars in. She wore a Jean Paul Gaultier dress and kept her hair and makeup super simple. 

To the red carpet première she wore a nude cream Alexander McQueen bodycon maxi dress.

Kat Graham attended the 5th Annual Elle Women in Music Concert Celebration in a bold button-front shirt, high-waist print pencil skirt with a slit and pink Brian Atwood pumps. She’s usually a strong hit for me. Beautiful.

Zendaya Coleman was also in attendance.A white fedora topped off her plaid suit. This puts the fun in fashion but I wouldn’t rock it though. Points to her for keeping it interesting.

Porsha Williams stunned in Balmain on a night out. The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star was spotted clubbing with friends in this ice blue mini bodycon dress by Balmain. HOT!

Aluna Francis also graced the Elle Women in Music red carpet. She opted for the colour of the moment; a white dress, which she paired with hot blue ankle boots and bright lips. I like:)

Rumer Willis was in tow in black cut out skirt and crop top. She looked alright until she turned to her side. Hunnay, if we can almost see your hoohah, it’s a miss.

The 2014 Met Gala has the best red carpet show-stopping dresses in my opinion. So I have been waiting for the juicy sightings. I’m giving you the scoop a little late today because it’s my birthday y’all!!! And the Met Gala went down last night so I missed the blow by blow. I haven’t got much time for a detail analysis of the outfits (just too many darn people showed up at the met Gala! LOL) so I’ll just use monosyllabic phrases and adjectives to say what I feel these red carpet looks. Let’s dig in:

Emma Stone in Thakoon and Andrew Garfield. Emma has done better but nice still.

Rita Ora- Pout of life. She does her. Imma need this get up for my honeymoon ;)

Karolina Kurkova in Marchesa. This is how to stop the show! Best dressed award.

Arizona Muse – W.O.W!  Put this dress in a museum, I can’t stop staring at it ;) Someone please make this white, it’s my dream wedding dress ;(

Rihanna was all ‘Diored’ up at the Dior Cruise fashion show in Brooklyn.The 26 year old looked ladylike in the soft dust pink cute silky ruffle dress by Dior. To complete her look, she added a fun pair of tri-colour curve heel pumps by Dior which feature an asymmetrical strap; a Lady Dior printed bag, a £1,700 ‘Diorific’ necklace and several other accessories by Dior. Love this look! You can all you want about Riri but you can’t say her face isn’t ALWAYS beat to the high heavens! Pretty in pink indeed. The hand tat looks a little garish but she’s gorge. 

The dress is part of the A/W 2014 Ready To Wear Dior collection. A cream version of the dress was modelled on the runway.

Hey there ABYers. Is everyone lending their voices to the #BringBackOurGirls campaign? If you haven’t, please do so now.

I often get emails from readers about outfits and hair ideas but I usually respond to them individually. Some of the questions are quite similar and I figured it’d be a good idea to make a post out of these questions so others can benefit too! So let’s kick off with this question from Miranda which reads:

Hi Mrs Art Becomes You! Please help me out. We are having a fancy work dinner party and I really want to bring my A game on. Lol. I usually don’t over dress up for work but this dinner I want to make an impression. There’ll be people from our other office branches so it’s HUGE.

Okay Mimi! I gotcha. Hehehehe. I’ve ransacked the internet and I’ve come up with some ideas which are work friendly yet chic and modern for a fancy work party like yours.

Look 1

Seeing as you love skirts, I’ve picked this gorgeous colourblock split whose black and white theme is very well in season. Pair it with a subtle print top. Add some sex appeal (single mama ;) ) with a pair of stiletto sling backs. Nothing beats that. A bright tote should add some playful tones to your ensemble.

Look 2

I know you love skirts but these high-waisted trousers rule! It’s a work event so I’m keen on maintaining a soft yet imposing black and white colour palette. This striped blouse from Nelly is the bomb and it’s only £20! A pair of stunning caged heels should let everyone know you’re here to leave your mark and have a good time.

Look 3

Another colourblock skirt. But this time you’re keeping things interesting with the asymmetrical hemline. I would personally rock this ensemble with the printed caged heels but the strappy pumps looked so good as well so you’re spoilt for choice. A pop of bright makeup and that snazzy necklace should keep you in play.

Look 4

A green wrap dress? What? Yes, I insist. Jessica from Suits wore a similar wrap dress to work and I was just in awe. Trust me wrap dresses are sheep in wolf’s clothing. They look harmless but they’re not. They hug you in just the right areas and expose the right and acceptable amount of cleavage. Score! What better than nude accessories to match such a statement dress.

It was a hot weekend with the 2014 Billboard Music Awards going down in Las Vegas! Celebs came and conquered on the red carpet. Black was a winning theme for the evening alongside sheer details, embellished frocks and showstopping cut outs. Let’s get into them:

Kelly Rowland took no prisoners in a bustier low cut crop top and high waisted maxi skirt. Gold stacked jewellery embellished her look. Hot! Body on point.

Cameroonian singer Dencia showed up and out in a sheer floor length dress that features intricate sequin detail. Wine red lips matched her look. I would have preferred a nude bra underneath. But girl was smizing fiercely for her life! Serve!

Jennifer Lopez was also inspired by burgundy. To whit, he worked a sheer Donna Karan number. When has she ever not dressed to kill? Hot.

Nicki Minaj makes my heart skip every time I see the new her. Girl kept it parred down in a black cut out gown by Alexander McQueen. She loves her some cut out dresses and they sure do love her back! She looks smoking.

These Jenner girl are pretty! Kendall Jenner looked stunning in an Olcay Gulsen two-tone cutout jumpsuit. Classy chic. J’adore.

Kylie Jenner looked sultry in all white. Her form-fitting dress featured frayed edges and a V-neck. She added a pair of Christian Louboutin Impera Pumps for effect.Loving the new turquoise bleached  ombré hair. Yes, Kris has good genes. Damn.

Hot mama Shakira wore a curve hugging panel dress. Her husband Pique always looks hot ;)

Iggy Azalea kept it classy in a pretty lace insert dress. This look was one of my favourites. Hot. Her boyfriend Nick Young was in tow.

Estelle looked cute in a colourblock dress. Loved her makeup.

Pretty Little Liars star, Lucy Hale was in another look I loved so much. Her colour-block slip lace dress is a must-have for this summer.

Sarah Hyland opted for a stylish two piece skirt suit by Emilio Pucci. I love her.

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa were were too serious for the event. Amber covered half of her face with giant sunglasses and finished up with a plum lipstick. Altogether her look was too dark for Spring/Summer :( 

Carrie Underwood loves her some sparkle. She looked pretty in a lime beaded dress.

Miranda Lambert was pretty in pink.

Rocsi Diaz spiced up a little black dress look with hot red lips. Nice.

Jordin Sparks is in good shape! I loved her outfit apart from the hair and makeup. Hmmmmm.

Chrissy Teigen is rocking a new fringe! She rocked a dramatic Fyodor Golan dress and a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti Ankle Strap Snake Sandals. I like.

Kesha who?! I couldn’t recognise this less dramatic version of Kesha. Quite pretty I must say. Has Nicki Minaj’s transformation inspired the others? Hmmm, we’ll see.

Cher Lloyd looked great in a purple lace bustier dress.

Natasha Bedingfield looked cute in  a white floral sheer blouse and Valentino rockstud pumps. I’d wear this.

Liz Hernandez rocked a white cut out romper. Hot.

Renee Bargh also wore a white embellished romper which I so want!

Keltie Knight also followed suit with the cut out trend in prints.
